We have established our fundraising platform to increase opportunities for young people with experience of being in care in Kirklees to engage with a range of activities and opportunities.

Care Leavers are young adults who have spent part, or all, of their childhood living in local authority care and may not have family networks and support that many people may take for granted.

Care experienced young people have often faced and had to overcome challenges and obstacles throughout their lives and so, it is important that we are able to provide positive experiences for them through events & activities. We know from speaking with our young people that they appreciate and value these opportunities.

We need your support to make this happen! Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference for our young people – if you are able to donate, we thank you for your kindness and generosity.

All proceeds raised will go to the Huddersfield Town Foundation, who work closely with our Care Leavers and Children in Care teams in supporting young people to deliver events, activities and enrichment opportunities for care experienced young people throughout the year.

There are young people who become care leavers each year therefore, this is an ongoing request for support.

The Kirklees Children in Care and Care Leavers will be organising and taking part in future fundraising events which we will advertise here.
